Lorivi Meshack Muro
I am the Founder and Executive Director of Seed Grant Impact (SGI) — a dynamic non-governmental organization established in April 2024 with a mission to empower communities through dignity, equality, and sustainable development.
With over two decades of experience in both the medical and social work sectors across Tanzania, East Africa, and Asia, I bring a rare blend of compassion, field expertise, and transformational leadership. My lifelong commitment to restoring dignity and advancing social and economic empowerment—especially among communities affected by gender-based violence (GBV)—is the driving force behind SGI’s creation and growth.
At SGI, I champion the Reflective Leadership Approach, a transformative and participatory process that identifies survivors, applies the Action Learning Model (ALM), forms empowerment groups, and facilitates Problem-Based Learning (PBL) for community needs assessment, capacity building, coaching, and continuous monitoring. Through these methods, individuals are not only inspired and supported to rebuild their lives, but are also equipped to become agents of change, igniting a ripple effect of holistic and sustainable transformation within their communities.
I believe that partnerships are key to lasting impact. Under my leadership, SGI collaborates with volunteers, NGOs, companies, and government bodies to advance gender equality, social justice, and economic resilience. Among our successful collaborations are Meditrip Tanzania, Stichting Tupendane Nederland (STN), and local councils in Monduli, Longido, Arusha DC, and Pangani — together forming a model of sustainable, high-impact change.
Through this journey, SGI continues to grow as a beacon of hope — a bridge between global compassion and local transformation. My work is not only about service, but also about inspiration — encouraging others to take action, contribute, and stand together in building a world where every woman, girl, and person with disabilities can thrive with dignity, confidence, and opportunity.
